Is Piriformis Syndrome Causing Your Leg Pain? Find Relief at Health Wise Chiropractic
People often get frustrated and confused as to what could be causing their lower back pain and leg pain
A common cause is Piriformis Syndrome.
The major complaint people have is pain in the buttock and pain in the posterior leg. Often my patients cannot pinpoint as to what was the cause as there is often no traumatic onset.
So what could be the problem?
The piriformis muscle can sometimes compress the sciatic nerve. In most patients, the sciatic nerve runs under the piriformis muscle. but 1 in 5 people have the sciatic nerve running through the muscle bellies.
How can Health Wise Chiropractic help?
1st thing we do is assess the muscle as well as the sacrum where the muscle attaches.
Then we assess whether we work on the muscle and spine/hip to help relieve tension.
We also suggest some stretches to help the body heal after our session.
We have helped our community for over 10 years with spinal and muscle problems. Please call Health Wise Chiropractic at 03 9467 7889 or book online to see one of our Chiropractors in Sunbury or Melton/Strathtulloh can help you achieve the same results
