Uncovering the Truth: Are Fruit Juices Just as Unhealthy as Sugary Soda?

Fruit juices and Soft drinks can have both pros and cons

Both have a high sugar content and contain around 110 calories

Both may lead to weight gain, as drinking your calories rather than eating them increases your risk of weight gain

HOWEVER

Drinking Soft drinks leads to a higher chance of developing diseases

Having LOW doses of fruit juices can actually lower your risk of conditions like type 2 diabetes and heart disease

Fruit juice is HIGHER in nutrients and contains beneficial plant compounds like carotenoids, polyphenols, and flavonoids.

A lack of consideration of a dose-response relationship can lead to erroneous conclusions regarding 100% fruit juice and the risk of cardiometabolic disease.
