What are some habits you can start TODAY that can improve your Back and Shoulder Spinal Hygiene
1. How are you sitting on the couch and in the car. Take not how you sit at home and in the car, are you slouching to avoid the sun in the car or are you twisted when siting at home watching the tv.
2. Check your sleep routine- take sure you are sleeping on your side on back only, is your mattress dipping more than the width of your thumb ?
3. Check your diet- Limiting sugars and gluten will cause less inflammation in your body
4. Movement is medicine. Are you doing at least 30 minutes of walking a day?This will help loosen up the spine and promote those 3 natural curves to move better. When you're walking , try and roll your shoulders forward and backwards to help the joints.
5. Get your monthly check up at your Chiropractor. Only your Chiropractor is trained to look for spinal subluxations that can cause degeneration and poor spinal hygiene.
6. Check your shoes, are your heals uneven, it probably means you're walking with uneven hips. Get new shoes and get re aligned by your Chiropractor.
7. How are you sitting? Do you sit crossed legged? Are you sitting with one of you feet under your hips?
